P5/6/7 Media Trip 27.08.15

Our first week back 17th-21st August

A busy first week back for us all! Have a look of our photographs below. Making friends. We were maintaining our school playground and vegetable patch.   We have had Jackie from the SSPCA visiting us to teach us how to look after our pets and wildlife.

Duthie Park P1/2 Trip

Primary 1/2 went on a school trip to Duthie Park as part of their ‘in the garden’ topic work.  It was a beautiful sunny day and Mrs Main, Mrs Bennett and Mrs Sutherland had a wonderful time with them all.  The children went to the sensory garden, learned how to look after bugs and then they planted a bean!

P7 Special Day 26.06.15

The primary 7 children had their special day at Codona’s with Miss Rynne. They had a brilliant time and they also wore their leavers hoodies. They raised the money for their school trip by running a healthy snack station. Well done p7’s and thank you to Miss Rynne for taking them all.  


Portlethen Music Festival 17.06.15

All four primary schools in the Portlethen Cluster took part in a musical extravaganza last night at Portlethen Academy.  Banchory-Devenick, Fishermoss, Portlethen and Newtonhill had soloists, duos, bands and choirs perform at the 90 minute spectacle.  Families from the Portlethen network came along to support the event.  Miss Watson and Miss Rynne were extremely proud of the children last night. Under the sea 15.06.15

The P3/4/5 topic has really got them thinking.  There is a special under the sea reading area filled with aquariums, fact files and fish lights!  Why don’t you ‘trawl’ through the pictures below?   No reinventing the ‘whale’ here! If you think of a ‘batter’ pun let ‘minnow’! We should ‘dolphinely scale’ back on the fish puns!

Sports Day 09.06.15

A fantasticly sunny day for sports! This year we had potted sports followed by races and a family picnic lunch.  Thank you to David Currie, Alan Stevenson and Miss Rynne for these amazing photographs!
