There are lots of preparations underway for our Christmas show and church service.  We also did lots of Christmas crafts and woodland Christmas activities this week too.  The P 5/6/7’s collected sticks of different sizes to create a Christmas tree shape and decorated them back in the classroom.  We also made mini Christmas tree designs with ribbons, that Hasse our Eco captain brought in and showed us how to make.

P 2/3/4 have been very busy adding the finishing touches to their Christmas crafts for the Christmas shop.  Thank you very much to Mrs Camm for coming in to help with all of the crafty activities for the past few weeks.  We hope you enjoyed it as much as the children.

P 1/2 have also been up to some Christmas tree fun.  They worked in their co-operative groups to create large stick trees and also painted some beautiful trees with Mrs Main indoors. IMG_3596

Here they are enjoying a chat on one of the trees and also all helping to carry back the sticks to make Santa logs next week with Mrs Sutherland.  Keep an eye out for them at the Christmas shop! They look very cool.

Last thing for this week, Mrs Bertolotto and Miss Rynne went to decorate our school tree at Portlethen Parish Church that the parent council have kindly funded.  All children made a star for the tree and P 2/3/4 designed a mini version of our school to sit on top of the tree which was very clever.  We did not see any other buildings on top of the trees when we were there.  Remember if you are in Portlethen at a club or activity you can pop in to see all the trees from Monday 14th – Friday 18th from 1pm – 8pm.  (It may also be part of your homework this week!)
